I just read that the great saxophonist, Dick Heckstall-Smith passed away on December 17. Dick was certainly a key figure in the British Blues Scene, playing with the likes of Alexis Korner, Graham Bond, John Mayall, and Colliseum. Paul Jones guested on his last album, The Blues and Beyond, a couple of years ago. He will be missed.
