To those of you unfamiliar with
British television, THIS IS YOUR LIFE is a programme which has been
running on the BBC since 1955 and which regularly attracts audiences of
more than 10 million. Host Michael Aspel surprises specially chosen
guests of honour by presenting them with the famous big red book before
inviting them into the studio for a retrospective look at their life and
achievements.
Family, friends and figures from the
past all take part in honouring Michael's guest. Subjects for the show
are chosen from the worlds of showbusiness, sport, theatre, music,
literature, and also include heroes and heroines from everyday life.
Paul Jones was featured on the programme
on 11 April 2001.… here are a few (somewhat blurry) stills taken from
the show. He was midway through recording his radio show when Michael
Aspel walked in and surprised him.
